World’s First Pen Drive For Android Smartphones And Tablets Launched By Sony

Why no one had invented it before? Well this is the question that comes to mind when seeing the new USB drive from Sony for smartphones and tablets. It may not be the most practical for the user, but in recent times, the trend of mobiles without memory expansion has gained strength. Sony, however, has released something that may seem strange, but it can be a solution for those who are facing problem of storage on their device.

The new pen drive is compatible with all the Android phones running version 4.0 to 4.3. The device has dual usage, users are able to connect to the regular computer USB 2.0 port and the Micro-USB port of mobiles, allowing the exchange of files without needing WiFi connection. It also works as an alternative to the cable when the it is not available.

It may also be used to exchange files between mobiles without connection or Bluetooth. The gadget is compatible with Windows, Mac OS and it is expected to be released during January of next year in the United States. It will hit the market with three versions: the 8GB will cost $20, the 16GB will cost $30 and the 32GB goes on sale for $63.
