Samsung Galaxy S5 – How Much Do You Think it Costs To Manufacture?
The South Korean company Samsung launched its latest flagship model of smartphone, the Galaxy S5 few days ago, opening a new chapter in the battle against its major competitor Apple.
With this high-tech device, Samsung aims to address the iPhone and manufacturing this at a cost of $ 256.52, a price higher than the cost of its predecessor, the S4 which was priced at $236 per unit and also higher than the price of manufacturing the iPhone 5S, which stands at $207 per smartphone.
The new smartphone has a screen of 5.1 inches, a fingerprint sensor, heart rate sensor 2 GB of RAM and internal storage 32 GB. In addition, it is resistant to water and dust characteristics that significantly raise the price of manufacture.
The strategy of Samsung is to add more components to the device to achieve the greatest possible differentiation that attracts as many users as possible.
The model, sold in 125 countries in Europe, North America, Latin America and most of Asia. It is sold for about $650 in the U.S. while in Spain is priced round figures close to 600 euros.
