Social Media 2020: The Future is Bright
Are you a fan of social media sites like Twitter and Facebook? If so, you haven’t seen anything yet. There are many signs pointing to major advancements in the coming months and years. We’re going to go over some specifics so you can have an idea of what social media is going to look like in 2020 and beyond. While all these may not come true – no one knows the future for certain – there’s a good chance you’re going to see these improvements in the years ahead.
Social Media in 2020
Here’s a look at what we think social media is going to be like in 2020 and beyond. If you have any of your own thoughts, be sure to leave a comment below and let us know what you think. When more people participate, we’re going to have a better look at the future.
More Choices – While Twitter and Facebook dominate the social media landscape these days, there’s going to be a lot more choices in the near future as more companies begin to implement their ideas of what social media websites should be like. This is great news for anyone who’s getting tired of Facebook and their shady privacy practices. With more choices available, it’s going to be easier for everyone to find their own group. That being said, there’s a good chance that these separate social media networks are going to be able to communicate with each other.
Smaller Networks – Another thing we see happening is a fragmentation so that there are more social networks but each one covers a smaller niche or topic rather than a behemoth like Facebook. This is good news as it means people will be able to interact with groups of people who truly share their interests and avoid all the game requests and other nonsense you find on Facebook these days.
Voice Recognition – Phones and tablets are going to get a lot smarter and be able to really run by voice commands. For example, if you’re trying to let people know about large shipping containers for sale, all you’re going to need to do is speak to your smartphone and it will do the rest! Imagine the possibilities when you have a smartphone that’s actually super smart? It’s going to be easier to share information – including photos and videos – in the near future.
While social media has come a long way, by 2020 it’s going to be amazing at the ways it can help you in your everyday life. Even now you can see some of the changes happening if you look closely – especially the mass exodus from Facebook to other social media networks. Be sure to share this with all your friends and family so that they can have a look at what the future holds for everyone online. Any way you look at it, though, the future of social media is very bright.
